Alive here among the dead.

It's been awhile since I've updated this thing.  It's also been awhile since I've had any sort of activity as far as shooting goes.  I really want to change that--and fast.  I'm even offering free shoots to people who will help me expand my portfolio.  I'm getting some lighting for my birthday and maybe even a new Canon 50D if I can save my money for long enough.

I really, really want to start working with bands again.

Here's a little bit of what I've been up to:

Our Proclamation

I recently had the honor of doing a photoshoot for my favorite local band, Our Proclamation.
A Christian band straight out of Pensacola, Florida--OP has been climbing the ladder to fame since day one. With passionate lyrics and carefully composed instrumentals, Our Proclamation will send thousands of shivers down your spine, even if you're a non-believer. This band is full of talent, and you absolutely have to check them out. On October 31st, their long awaited, and greatly anticipated EP Choices will be released in Europe through Line of Truth Distribution. So if you're lucky enough to live in the better part of the world, make sure you snag your copy.

We Don't Like Ike

Oh hey, you found my first real post, and it just so happens to be about Hurricane Ike.

So far, this hurricane season has seemed to spare the northwestern part of the Florida panhandle. I would knock on wood, but my computer desk is made of glass.

But for the folks in Galveston, Texas... well, they haven't been so lucky. Some residents even stayed on the island! Kudos to them for hunkerin' down. Satire aside, I am sure that they are in all of our thoughts.

But Hurricane Ike is a dirty little manwhore, and while he is raping Texas, he's also blowing the Gulf Coast. I tried to get gas last night and both of the gas stations by my house were sold out of every grade except for diesel! Bad move, Americanos. Now not only will Hurricane Ike directly affect the cost of gasoline, but you and your Suburan's and H3's will too.

You see, if you panic and fill up your 20-something gallon gas tank, then it's not so bad. It's when you open up your trunk and fill the entire space with extra gasoline jugs, that's when you have crossed the line of caution and selfish stupidity.

Quick summary, God bless Texas and I hate Florida.

We can't stop here, this is bat country!

I've decided to flutter into the trend of internet blogging--though I may be a little late. I will be using this blog to discuss a variety of topics, the main being my photography, but I will not fail to feature any artwork that I find to be interesting. Occasionally you'll catch (if you're lucky) a random rant or rave about society and celebrity gossip, technological advances and disadvances, and maybe even a little bit about my personal life.
